3ds max: desktop lamp

Post reply

I've got a desktop lamp, but i'm not really sure how to embed a light source in the bulb. Any suggestions? light needs to exclude the bulb...

It depends on what renderer you are using. You can just model a spiral, like in a real bulb, with self illumination set to maximum and render with final gathering in mental ray. That should provide the most realistic result.
