3ds Max: Improved RLA/RPF in After Effects

Just released - eFX Extract3D is a new After Effects plug-in that enhances the connection between 3DS Max and After Effects. The plug-in offers quick and easy access within After Effects to powerful "hidden" 3D channels rendered to RPF and RLA files by 3DS Max. It also supports 3D image files created by Maya, Cinema 4D, Softimage, Electric Image and other leading 3D applications. eFX Extract3D is available now in a Public Beta version at the special introductory price of $65. To order, go to www.electricfx.com/beta. This special price is offered for a limited time only. When Version 1.0 is released, the price will go up to $95. Participants in the Public Beta program will receive a free upgrade to the released version when it ships. With eFX Extract3D you create advanced visual effects using 3D channels, through a streamlined, intuitive interface that greatly simplifies the process of viewing, selecting and extracting 3D channel information. Additional features offered in After Effects for the first time include automatic calculation of color mapping black and white points, plus full support for creating 64-bit color images directly from 3D channels - this is particularly useful in preserving rendered detail to avoid undesirable "depth banding" in the resulting image. For feature details, see www.electricfx.com/products/extract3d.html, where you can download a free, fully-functional demo version of eFX Extract3D for evaluation. After Effects 5.0 or 5.5 is required, and both the AE Standard Version and Production Bundle are supported. Questions? Email sales@electricfx.com.
