3ds max: Rigging a hose

Post reply

Reid6754
I have a character with a tank on his back and a hose that leads from the tank to his hand, and he's going to be moving it around spraying things, how do i rig the hose to bend and move between the tank and the characters hand
Rod Sigler
just make the hose a rope type object in a animate using physics The tank and hand attachpoints should be the constraints of both hose ends
Shawn
Wouldn't it wobble about a bit too much?
Reid6754
Is there any way to attach objects to an existing rigged character? Like say adding the tanks on the characters back after the character is rigged? cuz i am lookin at attacking the tanks to the mesh and having to re-rig this model Id prefer to not have to re-do it all
Shawn
Just group it i guess? That should work Or link it
Reid6754
I have to add a bone or two in i would think Or maybe not...
