| subject: Animator , Chicago Children's Theatre Chicago Children's Theatre is looking for Animator Starting Date: Freelance / Internship , duration - 3 months Job details: Chicago Childrens Theatre is developing an animated backdrop for their next production of Dandelion Wine, a high profile collaborative work at the Steppenwolf Theatre. We are looking for a few creative, eager and collaborative animation artists to work with some of Chicagos finest theatre artists to create a new form of projected scenery. Backgrounds and characters will interact with live performers throughout the 90 minute show. This is all very new to us in theatre. Part of what we are interested in at Chicago Children's Theatre is to branch out from what is typically seen in theatre. We are looking to reach out to artists of other mediums to help in the development of our productions and to help us reach out to the young people of Chicago and the Midwest. With this in mind we are very excited to bring animation into the theatre, to our audiences and make it a part of the theatrical experience.
