| subject: Art Director , Wideload Games Wideload Games is looking for Art Director duration - Full Time Job details: Art Director Wideload seeks an experienced art director to manage our art team and create the visual direction for our original character- and story-driven games. Duties include: * Help define original IP by developing a creative, innovative visual style * Work with the team to establish and communicate that style * Work with engineers to design production technology that raises the bar and shows off the style * Manage the team of illustrators, modelers and animators that will define the IP * Help design the production pipeline to turn the IP into a finished game * Work with designers to concept characters and worlds, and document them to smooth production * Work with the producer to manage the art team's deliverables * Select contractors and communicate expectations to them * Monitor contractor submissions to ensure that they meet aesthetic and technical standards * Create a style guide and art design docs to establish a framework for the art and marketing departments Qualifications: * Minimum of 8 years established experience in an art related field * Minimum 4 years experience managing art or creative staff * Credits on at least two AAA titles and at least one as Art Director * Good sense of humor * Experience managing contractors * A kick-ass portfolio that shows a broad range of skills * Experience with a variety of game technology * Experience working with engineers to design new graphics technology Location: Chicago, IL, United States Contact info: http://www.wideload.com E-mail: jobs@wideload.com |
