| subject: Character Artist [Senior Lead level] , Pandemic Studios Pandemic Studios is looking for Character Artist [Senior Lead level] duration - Full Time Job details: Character Artist [Senior Lead level] Primary Responsibilities: Research and development on characters designs for the game Extensive experience with mesh/UV skills, with specific focus on Characters/Creatures Solid understanding of 3D Art production processes/pipelines Understanding and application of complex material shaders Creating textures from scratch, using photo reference materials, layering/compositing Work closely with Lead Artists and Animators to create great-looking characters Excellent communication skills Organizational skills and technical aptitude necessary Required: B.A or equivalent Must have at least 2 years of industry experience Must have shipped at least one reputable title Strong proficiency with one or more of the following 3D packages: Maya, Softimage, 3D Studio Max, Lightwave Must be proficient with Adobe Photoshop Preferences: Strong knowledge of anatomy Experience using Z-Brush is a plus Conceptual art skills and experience with Normal mapping is preferable Knowledge of weighting models to skeletons and animations is also preferable Must be highly motivated.
