Type: Full Time - Exempt Term: Immediate Hire Benefits: After 90 Days Salary: Commensurate with experience Hours: 5 Days per week; 8am to 5pm Description: Slingo is small sized casual game development company that offers an exciting atmosphere to work because our focus is games and fun. Right now we are expanding and seeking someone to manage our Product Development department. We offer great benefits and energetic, creative, and fun environment to be a part of. Responsibilities will include: Managing all development projects and their activities and ensures that resources are available and channeled to produce planned results Systematically creating timelines and deadlines for all development projects Organizing projects and ensuring appropriate follow up with 3rd party development teams Supporting the team in preparing and developing project related documents Allocating appropriate funds and performing cost analysis and staying within budget guidelines Ensuring that all departmental documentation is up to date and accurate. Ideal person will also have strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, written and oral communications skills. Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic who can integrate rapidly with an existing team. Applicants need the ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment and multitask with little to no supervision. We are looking for someone with an adaptable learning style and is willing to grow with the position. Qualifications: B.A., B.S. level of education preferred. 5 to 7 years of software product development related experience required. Applicants should have a demonstrated aptitude in creating a project plan. Experience with the software design and development process a MUST. A background in Game Design and development is a MUST. Applicants should have the ability to plan, organize, direct, implement and evaluate processes to achieve desired results. Applicants should have the ability to effectively plan for and manage a small team. Candidate must have STRONG oral and written communication skills as this job requires a considerable amount of writing and communication with developers. They must also have fluid computer skills and be able to Email and communicate in a digital environment effortlessly. Candidates must be willing to commute to Hackensack, NJ and have reliable transportation. Local candidates preferred.
