Blue Castle Games Inc. is looking for Environment Artist Job details: BLUE CASTLE GAMES is currently looking for an experienced Environment Artist to join our team. This talented individual will create exceptional environments for next generation console games. Requirements: Responsibilities: Creation of environment assets (3D modeling and texturing). Complete tasks aligned with project needs and milestones. Contribute to project planning and schedules. Lead and inspire a team of artists. Develop and escalate ongoing feedback and debugging for improvements of process and tools. Required Skills & Abilities: 3+ years previous experience in environment art creation (modeling and texturing) within gaming or related industry. Solid understanding of the production/development cycle. Excellent knowledge in 3D software packages (3DSMax experience a plus, but not a pre-requisite) Excellent knowledge of 2D photo manipulation and painting software (i.e. Photoshop) Experience in cross-platform development. Solid experience in leading a team of artists and planning schedules. Curiosity, resourceful and ability to learn new software/skills quickly. Versatility and adaptability to changing environments. Display a sense of creativity and take ownership of work. Open to feedback and critical evaluation from peers. Driven and highly motivated to be the best. Proven ability to work independently and problem solve. Desirable: Degree/diploma/certificate or demonstrated skills in art discipline. Passion for playing games and creating games.
