| subject: Environment Concept Artists , NcSoft NcSoft is looking for Environment Concept Artists duration - Full Time Job details: Environment Concept Artists The Santa Monica office (Los Angeles County), home to an animation art studio is looking for Environment Concept Artists to create artwork that will serve to bridge the concept art with the final modeling and lighting. These artists will create mood and effects paintings, details and color keys to communicate the final vision to the production team. Requirements: - Highly creative, passionate, driven concept artist - Must be able to rapidly illustrate concepts based on verbal and written directives - Outstanding traditional illustration skills in multiple mediums, including a firm grasp of color theory - Experience in a broad variety of styles and genres - Must be able to produce large quantities of high caliber illustrations in a variety of formats, from prototype level thumbnails to finished color illustrations, to publish quality log/ID work - Minimum 3 years game industry experience required and/or minimum 2 shipped titles - Ability to cooperate on a team level a must - Online gaming experience a plus Portfolio Requirements: - Color keys - Finished paintings that reflect an ability to communicate art directions to the CG team (lighting, value, effects, and texture). - Designs with architectural and environmental elements (stone, water, smoke, forest, etc.). - Samples that show strong lighting/color sense and flexibility in style. - Some samples of designs (line work) for modelers; i.e. line production drawings, isometric detail work A casual work environment, comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary are all part of the package.
