| subject: Environment Designer , Despereaux Productions Despereaux Productions is looking for Environment Designer duration - 1-2 Years Job details: Despereaux Productions Limited, a subsidiary of Universal Pictures, is seeking an Environment Designer to join its design team on 'A Tale of Despereaux' a new 3D animated movie currently in pre-production. Location: London Salary range: 52000 - 57200 GBP per annum As an Environment Designer, the successful applicant will be responsible for: Designing environments/sets, set dressing & props of a consistently high quality that reflect the visual style of the film inspired by the Flemish masters of the 16th and 17th century Creating both new designs and refining already approved concept designs Interacting with 3D modellers on ruff builds of their designs Collaborating with other members of the Design team to ensure conformity of the environment design to the film?s overall style Reporting directly to the Department Head updating them on a daily basis on the work being done Working hand in hand with production to ensure that deadlines are hit The successful applicant must have the following requirements and skills:- Must have at least 3 years of industry experience Demonstrated superior drawing ability Proven ability to produce work quickly and efficiently Excellent communication and strong team skills Ability to work well under stress and be creative with limited assistance Strong understanding and experience of the animation production process General knowledge of Photoshop is a must. General understanding of Maya is a plus.
