| subject: Full Time Faculty Chair Animation and Digital Media , College for Creative Studies College for Creative Studies is looking for Full Time Faculty Chair Animation and Digital Media Starting Date: Full-Time Job details: The scope of the program includes 3D Computer Graphics, Experimental Animation, Character Animation, Game Design, Digital Cinema and other related areas. The chair is responsible for management of all aspects of the department, including curriculum and program development, faculty recruitment, supervision and evaluation, student advising, budgeting, resource development and outreach to the corporate community. Department chairpersons have release time from a full-time teaching load to accomplish their administrative tasks. The department consists of approx 170 students and utilizes both Mac and PC computers, a stop motion animation lab, and experimental/traditional animation lab, render farm, 3 AV labs with HD capability, sound re-recording suite, audio ISO suite, masters series Oxberry animation stand and has numerous digital production tools and resources supported by the colleges IT department. The college is currently planning to launch an MFA in Animation with the next several years. Requirements: The successful candidate will have a strong record of accomplishment as an educator, administrator and practitioner. The candidate will have experience and knowledge regarding the hardware and software associated with computer graphics and will be an accomplished computer artist, filmmaker, game designer or animator. The candidate will have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills and significant knowledge of new technologies and directions in the field. An MFA is required and experience in both the teaching and the commercial sector is highly desirable.
