| subject: Media Arts & Animation Faculty (2D/Traditional) , The New England Institute of Art The New England Institute of Art is looking for Media Arts & Animation Faculty (2D/Traditional) Starting Date: 7/5/2006 , duration - permanent Job details: Department: Academic Affairs Position Summary: The New England Institute of Art is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position in the Media Arts & Animation department with a specialty in 2D/Tradtional animation. The best qualified candidates will be able to teach the following courses: Principles of Animation; Storyboarding for Animation; Character Design; 2D Animation; Advanced 2D Animation; Animation Studio; and Animation Seminar & Portfolio. The faculty member will instruct and facilitate meaningful learning in the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively support all facets of the learning environment. Provide ongoing career education through learner-centered instruction that will enable graduates to fulfill the evolving needs of the marketplace. Encourage a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility, life-long learning, diversity, and ethics as well as personal and professional development. Key Job Elements: 1. A strong portfolio with a concentration on 2D/Traditional animation.
