| subject: Modeling Supervisor , IDT Entertainment IDT Entertainment is looking for Modeling Supervisor Starting Date: ASAP Job details: IDT Entertainment is an up and coming animation studio. We are seeking talented, hardworking individuals to come join the IDTE family. Responsible for the artistic design, technical specification, construction, modification and maintenance of all 3D models used in a picture Responsible for creating the look of the characters as designed by the Director(s), VFX Supervisor, and Production Designer(s) within budget parameters defined by the show Collaborates with other departments to ensure successful solutions to cross-department challenges and flags VFX Supervisor as needed Establishes the technical procedures to support multi-department 3D model usage, from pre-visualization to static and animating 3D sets, static and animating 3D props and 3D characters. Enforces directory structure, naming conventions and versioning for all modelers and models. Work with CG Supervisor as need on these issues. Responsible for understanding and communicating implications to other departments during decision-making process Requirements: Leadership Responsibilities Supervise the modeling team. Perform rounds with modelers: critique their work and assist in problem-solving Work with Art Director in determining when models are ready for Director approval. Liaison with Department Manager and Production Management in determining and meeting production quotas and goals. Participate in employee reviews. Deliver reviews with production management. Help manage career and skillset growth within department. Provide recommendations for promotions. Work with management in the staffing of department. Assist in recruiting efforts for department. Ensure that new hires have necessary skillset and are provided with any additional training specific to the show.
