| Hi guys, i'm a newbie in CG and need to do a project that require to create a simple software for image processing and create a 3d model for it. The concept is simple, the software should be able to read SINGLE bitmap image. Process the image and create a model for it using java. no need to deal with light reflection and shadow. Currently my supervisor ask me to read about edge detection and shading. I know what is the edge detection about and how it work but don't know how it related to my project. Can anyone help me out? tq |

| Correct me if I'm wrong but from what you wrote above, I understood that you need to make a software that will create 3d models from image? From what i know it's not an easy task... Is it really what you need? |

| Yes. But it will be a very simple software where the shadow and reflection is not under consideration. |
