| subject: Production Supervisor , Lucasfilm Animation Lucasfilm Animation is looking for Production Supervisor duration - Full-Time Job details: Responsibilities: - Develops overall schedule and corresponding staffing needs for all Episodes based on departmental milestones provided by AP or Line Producer. Upon receiving any overall episodic schedule and/or staffing profile changes, updates the schedule accordingly. - Works with Layout Technical Supervisor to assign work to artists based on their skill set. - Tracks and coordinates the day-to-day workflow for the layout/previz department for all Episodes. - Tracks productivity for each department overall as well as each artist and issues weekly quota report. - Liaise between the departments to ensure that all necessary materials/models/etc are prepared and available for story per the schedule and that layout/previz delivers elements on schedule. - Identifies potential problems/issues, particularly those which will have an impact on the budget and work with AP/PM or Line Producer on how to resolve. - Liaise with overseas studios as it relates to story/previz/layout. - Generates and distributes weekly updates reflecting production progress and logistics. - Guides Production Assistants, APM's or other production personnel as needed. - Works with Layout Technical Supervisor in creating a work environment that encourages creativity and productivity. - Assists the Line Producer and Layout Technical Supervisor to assign appropriate manpower, workspace and scheduling to ensure completion of production. - Uses planning systems, material requirements, work in process tracking, training and development programs, technical specification manuals, and policy and procedure manuals. - Partners with HR, Staffing, and Training to coordinate the technical requirements of recruiting, hiring and training for the layout/previz department. - Provides the artist with support to complete their work. Education, Experience and Skills: - 1-3 years experience in a production role, preferably in animation. - Working knowledge of 3D CG Industry techniques and terminology and production flow required. - Bachelor's Degree in film, art, communications or related filed. - Strong organizational, project management and leadership skills. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of management. - Ability to establish priorities and multi-task efficiently within a high pressure environment while meeting strict deadlines. Ability to work in a start-up environment that has a certain degree of ambiguity. Physical Requirements: - 70% computer use Location: San Rafael, California, United States |
