CNET Networks, Inc. is looking for Project Manager (3412) duration - Full Time Job details: Project Manager (3412) Job Description: This position will assist with day-to-day project management for multiple technical projects and partner programs driven by CNET Games and Entertainment's Games group, including enhancements to GameSpot's subscription services, tournaments, and download delivery system as well as new services under development. The project manager will maintain schedules and track deliverables for internal development, track the status of multiple projects, gather and review project requirements, and identify dependencies. Effectively communicating progress and roadblocks will include documenting projects and procedures. The role will involve working with QA, as well as hands-on testing for quality checks. Primary projects will include development of services related to the GameSpot Web sites, and candidates should have a passion for computer and video games. Some projects may involve content and promotional deliverables, but most will be technical in nature. Qualifications: Candidates must have 2+ years of technical project management experience in software application and/or Web development. Game development experience is a plus. Candidates must be able to multi-task, managing multiple projects, both big and small, simultaneously. Candidates must have a proven ability to work with groups at all levels within an organization, including members of Sales, Product, Development, IT, Customer Support, and beyond. Strong communication and analytical skills must be accompanied by aptitude for documenting technical tasks (in text and Visio) and anticipating issues by understanding the technical and user experience implications of projects. Conceptual familiarity with PHP/MySQL, C++, Java, and production server infrastructure is a plus. BA or BS required, or equivalent training and experience.
