Laika Inc. is looking for Recruiter duration - Indefinite Job details: Award winning animation studio, LAIKA Inc, based in Portland Oregon and owned by Phil Knight, co-founder and chairman of Nike is seeking a Recruiter. LAIKA/entertainment is currently in production on several animated feature films including: Neil Gaiman's "Coraline" , written for the screen and directed by Henry Selick (The Nightmare Before Christmas, James and The Giant Peach); and "Jack & Ben", written and directed by Jorgen Klubien (Cars, Monsters Inc, Toy Story 2, A Bug's Life, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid). The company recently purchased the rights to one of the U.K.'s current best-selling children's novels, writer/illustrator Alan Snow's "Here Be Monsters". LAIKA/house is a dynamic community of filmmakers, designers and animators guided by a legacy of 30 years of animation history. Notorious for its skills in storytelling and character performance, LAIKA/house produces every type of animation in every medium. Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Partnering with hiring managers to discuss current and forecasted hiring needs and prioritize as needed. - Using a variety of recruiting methods to source hard-to-find candidates - Working with hiring managers to prepare job briefs with flare for web postings and newspaper ads and any other appropriate sources - Effectively manage recruiting for assigned open positions and entire process for each candidate as they move through the hiring process - Screening of resumes and reel materials in various formats - Conducting phone screens and providing feedback to hiring managers and sr. recruiter - Assisting hiring managers and sr. recruiter in reviewing resumes, tracking active candidates and scheduling/coordinating interviews with decision makers - Maintaining positive relationships with candidates throughout the interview process - Ability to write job descriptions, job briefs and job postings to attract and focus the applicant pool appropriately - Generating appropriate offer paperwork and negotiating offers on behalf of hiring manager as needed. - Tracking, reporting and analyzing strategic recruiting effectiveness and accomplishments of meeting hiring manager recruiting needs. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent - Experienced recruiter. IT/CG experience a plus. - Ability to meet recruiting goals and deadlines. - Superior communication skills with candidates, internal clients (hiring managers), support staff and external clients - Effective time management and organizational skills a must - Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to understand and adapt to rapidly changing priorities. - Excellent analytical/research skills. - Trained in interviewing techniques, preferably behavioral Interviewing. - Excellent negotiating skills required - Expert skills in web searches. - Comfortable using MS Office.
