| subject: Senior Designer , Factor 5 Factor 5 is looking for Senior Designer duration - Full Time Job details: Senior Designer Level Designer/Senior Designer Responsibilities: You will be responsible for one or more areas of design expertise in addition to designing and implementing levels for upcoming PS3 titles. Specifically your field of work will focus on: Become the point person or collaborate in one or more of the following areas: Environmental design and building AI behavior Physics setup Scripting Specific gameplay system or mechanic Online Multiplayer Story writing, dialogue and cinematic Camera and controls Develop, troubleshoot and implement in area/s of expertise for design team Convey and document all relevant information pertaining to area/s of expertise to other designers and dept. leads Design and implement levels Contribute to and collaborate with other designers on the game design Job Requirements: Ability to learn new tools and workflows with minimal supervision Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills Scripting or programming experience preferred Level design on 2+ shipped titles Work experience with at least one professional 3D modeling package such as Maya, 3dsmax, etc. preferred Helpful: College degree in writing or prior professional experience in writing Portfolio Requirements: A sample single-player and/or multi-player level/map for any commercial game that demonstrates solid understanding of level design, event and/or ai scripting and game development process. This is mandatory regardless of experience. Portfolios without demo level will not be considered. Any examples of work from past titles, shipped or otherwise.
