Aspyr Media, Inc. is looking for Senior Designer duration - Full Time Job details: Senior Designer Responsible for senior level of contribution to 3D game level design and implementation through completing project tasks as assigned. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Major contribution to game design, team discussions and troubleshooting sessions. Designing and implementing core game features. Communicating task progress and completion status. Contributing to the design team process through documentation, using project tools, and effective communications. Mentoring associate designers and designers. Escalating risks or issues to the Lead Designer in a timely manner to ensure quick issue resolution. Requirements: Must be a creative and avid gamer, and understand what makes games fun and immersive Must have 5+ years professional game design experience Thorough knowledge of and 3+ years experience using scripted or compiled computer languages. Ability to script in Edith is a definite plus Leadership qualities to help guide a team from beginning to finish on projects Must have shipped at least two AAA titles Expert knowledge of all aspects of game design theory and production Ability to innovate and work within the confines of an existing IP Understanding of architecture, lighting, texturing and other elements that are required to create aesthetically pleasing and fun 3D levels Knowledge and use of revision control, data management, spreadsheets, and documentation tools (such as Perforce, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, etc) Ability to meet project deadlines Ability to work and contribute effectively in a team environment Experience with all Sims game titles is a plus Location: Austin, Texas, United States Contact info: E-mail: jobs@aspyr.com |
