| subject: Senior Environmental Artist , Incinerator Studios Incinerator Studios is looking for Senior Environmental Artist duration - Full Time Job details: Senior Environmental Artist Position Summary: Work with a growing team, creating high quality 3D environment models and textures for next-generation titles. Essential Job Functions: Model and texture real-time 3D next generation environments at various polycounts Use proprietary tools to get assets into game environments Work with programming staff to improve tools and development environment Collaborate and work with Art Lead and other team members Create high quality lighting models for different environment lighting effects Build environment collision models for use in real-time physics engine Education/Certification/Licensing: Bachelor's (BA) degree from an accredited 4-year college or university or equivalent industry experience Experience/Skills: 5+ years of relevant development experience Candidate should have at least one shipped title to their credit Must be fluent in either 3ds MAX or Maya, as well as Photoshop Understanding of real-time modeling and texturing constraints, and the ability to work within them Ability to translate concept and reference artwork into 3D game assets, efficiently and within game engine specifications Able to work within a schedule and adapt quickly to changes Traditional art skills and conceptual abilities are a plus Experience with real-time shaders and applications is a plus Sample art work required: Samples of artwork online, CD, DVD or printed portfolio Traditional artwork and concepts are a plus 3D models should show wireframe examples as well as final textured assets Texture samples at final resolution (printed or digital) All artwork should explain clearly what you did and what you were responsible for if part of a collaborative project Location: Carlsbad, CA, United States Contact info: Please apply to your position of interest through THQ Career Center at the link below: http://thq.kenexa.com/thq/cc/Home.ss |
