Does anyone know a pipeline to get animation data from maya into XSI? Help greatly appreciated. Richard Smith

If this ever comes out http://sourceforge.net/projects/dotxsi4maya/ then it will solve your problem. Untill then try Maya>movetools>Soft3D>XSI. or Maya>Polytrans>Soft3D>XSI

dotXSI will be the perfect way, but in the meantime; It is quite easy, just export your animation from Maya in any know and documented export format and write a little script to load that data from XSI. Motion capture formats like BVH would do the work for you. hope it helps. jordibares

Ive had the same problem. Polytran is a good program the exports .IGES files from MAYA which XSi can read.. http://www.okino.com/conv/demos2.htm The trial version removes every 5th polygon :( The full version is about $300!! But if yr at uni or working for a company Im sure they'd agree its a good investment!
