Sr. User Interface Designer Description: WebEx is seeking a Senior UI Designer to help design the next generation of innovative and user friendly web conferencing and collaboration products. Based in Santa Clara, the User Experience Design group creates innovative solutions in the areas of: instant messaging, mobile devices, integrated telephony/VoIP, desktop and web applications. The User Experience Design team provides design services across the entire product range. Overall Responsibilities: Contribute as a full member of cross-functional teams to create innovative user experiences for existing and new product offerings To employ user centered design methodologies to influence product teams to achieve the solution that is right for our customers Create task analyses, use cases, mock-ups, user interaction models, wire frames, mock-ups and prototypes, design specs and guidelines, and screen flows with little direction Test designs from the sketch/concept stage to final validation Evaluate and recommend solutions based on user feedback and business strategy Mentor less experienced team members You should be self-motivated and be able to make logical decisions to ensure overall success of the project You should have a fundamental understanding of project management and should work well with development teams Desired Qualifications & Experience: Masters Degree in user interaction/interface/human factors or similar field or equivalent experience Understanding of application of and web standards and constraints Strong visual skills Good communication and organizational skills Excellent leadership and communication skills (written) Excellent presentation skills (verbal) Ability to respond and deliver quickly in an extremely fast paced environment 5+ years of professional software development experience required Demonstrated experience designing user interfaces that have been released to customers Proficiency in Photoshop, Fireworks, Macromedia Director/Flash/Dreamweaver, HTML, Visio or similar UI tools EOE RESUMES MUST BE IN ENGLISH Location: Shanghai, China |
