| subject: Technical Director , Radical Entertainment Radical Entertainment is looking for Technical Director duration - Full Time Job details: Technical Director As the most senior technical person in a game production team, the Technical Director is responsible for the technical design and implementation of real-time 3D action-adventure games across multiple platforms. Working together with senior programmers and a technical project manager, the Technical Directors responsibilities may include: Leading the technical implementation of the game, including architecture, build process, technical design, code reviews, and debugging Making technical decisions throughout the project and representing the technical team at meetings Hands-on implementation of specific game subsystems and gameplay features Setting and enforcing coding standards; looking at process innovations to improve technical quality and workflow Identification and management of all technical risks for the project Participating in the strategic planning of the project Mentorship of all technical team members in their daily work and overall career development. Key Contacts: The Technical Director reports directly to the Producer. Technical Skills: B.Sc. in Computer Science (M.Sc. desirable) is preferred with a minimum of four years experience as technical lead in multiple software development projects Minimum one game delivered as a technical lead. Expert C++ programming skills, Object-oriented design experience and an in-depth knowledge of multiple game hardware platforms. Knowledge of real-time computer graphics, online multiplayer or embedded systems development is an asset. Prior experience with resource-constrained small platforms (like Handhelds and/or mobile phones) is also preferred.
