Photon VFX is looking for Texture Lead
Starting Date: Immediate , duration - 3-12 months
Job details: Position: Texture Lead
Located on Australia's Gold Coast at the Warner Roadshow Studios, Photon VFX is an independent Australian VFX company specialising in visual effects and animation for feature film and television production for both international and local clients. Photon is currently in production of the 40-part HD animated television series Animalia. We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Texture to join our Gold Coast facility.
The position is to start immediately.
Required Technical and Artistic Skills:
Proven experience with Photoshop, Bodypaint & Maya.
Experience with creating textures for a wide variety of 3d characters (animals)
An understanding of surface types including UV mapping & UV editing.
Experience with Maya\'s hypershade.
Ability to interpret concept artwork and apply artistic styles to 3d models.
Demonstrated experience in painting and texturing using 2d & 3d applications.
3+ years experience in film or animated television series production.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively on deadline driven projects.
