| subject: Traditional Art Instructor , The Art Institute of Vancouver The Art Institute of Vancouver is looking for Traditional Art Instructor duration - Full Time Job details: Traditional Art Instructor The Art Institute of Vancouver is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, organized and proactive instructor with a university education and robust industry experience to make a positive and lasting contribution to the graduates, and the curriculum, of the Animation Art & Design program at our school. Position Responsibilities: Traditional Art Instructor With the academic director, oversee the course curriculum, syllabi and student outcomes for the traditional art courses in the program (drawing, design fundamentals, life drawing, character design, sculpting, color theory, etc.) Help to develop and participate in portfolio assessments for first year students and graduates Lead extra curricular campaigns from a traditional art perspective Help to hire and manage part time faculty for traditional arts in the AAD program Mentor and coach students throughout the program 2D Animation, drawing, production design, life drawing, sculpting, color theory & painting experience preferred Qualifications Prior teaching experience (college-level preferred) Current industry experience (2 years minimum) Undergraduate or graduate degree (or be willing to obtain) Applicants should submit a Word compatible resume and salary expectations to jmorton@aii.edu with the subject header Instructors no later than August 15, 2006.
