Turbine Inc. is looking for Visual FX Artist duration - Full Time Job details: Visual FX Artist Turbine is developing two of the biggest and most anticipated Fantasy MMO releases; Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons and Dragons Online. If youve ever imagined yourself responsible for creating the Characters, Monsters, Lore, Magic and Adventure that would bring these titles to the online world; an opportunity exists for you! Turbine currently has an opening for a Visual Effects Artist. Candidates must possess game development experience; demonstrate strong creative and technical skillsets; be results-oriented; and be capable of thriving in a fast-paced collaborative development environment. Job Responsibilities Reports directly to the vFX Director Work with Turbines proprietary tools to generate in-game visual Effects; on-time and to specification. Work with other Developers to create a full spectrum of visual Effects; from realistic environmental effects to innovative high-fantasy visual effects Design, create, integrate and script particle and mesh effects that are consistent with the established look of the game and meet quality/performance objectives Understand technically complex systems; learn new tools quickly and work effectively within a complex and structured creation pipeline Quickly master proprietary tools and development processes Communicate and collaborate closely with others Must be a skilled Maya User Excellent 3D modeling and 2D texturing skills Particle system experience and visual effects creation competency Organized, professional and process-driven Exceptional problem solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills An aptitude for learning new systems quickly Concept and story boarding skills are a plus Technically proficiency - MEL scripting rigging skills are a plus Interest in MMOs; mod community experience and/or playing MMOs is a plus You must submit an online application to be considered for the position.
