| subject: VR Studio - Senior 3D Artist , Walt Disney Internet Group Walt Disney Internet Group is looking for VR Studio - Senior 3D Artist Starting Date: ASAP , duration - contract-to-hire Job details: We are searching for a talented Senior 3D Artist possessing a skill set that crosses the traditional boundaries or job descriptions of Modeler or Painter. The ideal candidates have a thorough understanding of technical aspects/limitations of creating and manipulating assets for both real-time & pre-rendered 3D environments; demonstrate expertise in at least three (or more) of the following disciplines; and possess one or more of the skill sets outlined Requirements: 3D Painting : Must demonstrate: exceptional artistic ability to paint and texture in 3D and 2D Expert knowledge of UV-mapping techniques; as well as the creation of bump maps and alpha channels to be incorporated into final 3D environment models and 3D character models. 3D Character Modeling : Must demonstrate: a superior understanding of both high-poly and low-poly modeling of 3D characters Understanding of anatomy and form; ability to characterize and stylize is essential.
