Job details: Senior Producer Senior Producer
This is a senior level position at the company, reporting to the EVP of Game Development. Final scope of job, title and salary commensurate with successful candidates experience.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the development of a multi-million dollar project with both product development and operational dimensions
Work with the Executive Vice-President of Game Development to ensure the development of the product matches the vision of the product.
Work with the Chief Operating Officer to coordinate aspects of the products development schedule and budget across all disciplines including marketing, operations, and sales.
Schedule, organize, and coordinate a large, diverse development team. This team is organized into various disciplines each with its own Team Lead and staff with associated schedules and deadlines.
Directly manage a team of producers/associate producers and Team Leads.
Research and study new subject matter domains to effectively oversee some of the discipline teams.
Select, implement, and efficiently use an enterprise product lifecycle management system throughout the organization
Take lead in planning and carrying out external research activities including focus groups and surveys related to the projects success
Plan and lead successful beta launch process
Oversee web development efforts for promotional and community sites
Reflect the projects vision and strategy to the rest of the team and new hires as well as external parties when executive management is not present or available.
Create and track detailed budgets for the project
Take responsibility for the daily supervision of the project schedule which includes supporting the Team Leads in their day-to-day supervision of the employees on the project.
Help make informed decisions in conjunction with the Team Leads on the work methods, development strategies and resource management to be used within each development team.
Communicate frequently and proactively with executive staff and Team Leads on project status and pressing issues.
Conduct annual reviews of direct reports and provide feedback on all team members reviews.
Qualifications:
Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
Must have shipped at least one AAA title as a Producer
Experience developing, producing, launching, and maintaining MMP games
Highly computer-literate and a touch-typist; a bit of a technocrat
Proficient at Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
Demonstrable experience managing large teams and schedules
A degree from a four-year U.S. college or university or comparable institution
Six (6) or more years experience managing projects with multi-year timelines, including project management duties
Successful experience implementing online consumer products
Must be able to work under tight schedules and reliably hit milestones
Must enjoy working on creative projects as part of a team
At least one shipped MMP as well as multiple other game titles
