Job details: Localization Producer The Localization Producers primary role is to ensure that localized products are delivered on time, on budget and to an optimal quality level. They track the schedule of localization pipelines, manage assets, identify weaknesses, bottlenecks, and risks in the schedule, and troubleshoot communication and schedule dependency problems.
Accountable for the conversion of U.S. products to all foreign languages.
Responsible for one or more software products requiring localization, typically within a given line of products, from project initiation through product release, and for maintaining the original creative vision of the product through the localization process.
Creates and maintains schedules, budgets with developed ability to organize, coordinate & manage issues.
Oversees the accurate and meaningful translation and porting of U.S. product content and marketing concepts to the languages of target countries.
Reviews and evaluates product translation and porting for compliance with international standards and laws.
Coordinates resources throughout the company to ensure the successful localization of the products.
Ensures that outside localizers meet milestones and receive all necessary technical information.
Oversees third party translations and ensures accuracy and effectiveness of all translated materials.
Facilitates licensee approvals for all language versions.
Manages linguistic and functionality testing of international builds, internal approvals, licensor approvals, development teams and other aspects of international game production.
Able to manage teams and dependencies remotely.
Works closely with brand management to ensure effective distribution and promotion of localized products.
Essential Job Functions:
Plan, organize and manage both internal and external team localization schedules across multiple projects.
Identify and resolve project risks.
Work closely with key colleagues, including the Studio Production Team, the Central Localization Team, Global Brand Management and Key International Personnel
Experience/Skills: Project Management background required, 3-4 years of localization experience in the video game industry on console products is preferred, interest in foreign markets and cultures desired, MS Project experience a plus.
Other Useful Information: Experience in video game industry is a plus. Experience working with translation, dubbing, linguistic test houses and integration vendors a plus.
