New Machine Studios Inc. is looking for Technical Director
Starting Date: June 2006 , duration - Permanent

Job details: This is an entry-level technical director (rigging) position. Candidate will be required to:
Set up character rigs and skeletons for animation, using existing studio process & guidelines.
Develop studio guidelines over time
Skinning and binding model to skeleton
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all assets during modeling, animation and rendering
Ocassionally create tools and scripts to aid in production
Provide technical guidance to modelers
Requirements: Proficient in Maya, including scripting in MEL
Animation experience preferred
Excellence oriented, with a keen sense for detail and an understanding of how others will use your work
The ability to analyze and effectively critique your own work
The ability to find, interpret and solve problems.
Strong work ethic and self-management skills

Preference will be given to a Calgary resident or someone who is willing to
relocate. Must be a Canadian citizen or legally able to work in Canada.
