Doppelganger is looking for 3D Character Artist
duration - Full Time
Job details: 3D Character Artist Do you wake up in the morning and shiver at the thought of another day of working on a bland sequel?
Then you might be interested in joining us over at Doppelganger. Were a hot, well-funded San Francisco based stealth startup backed by two top Silicon Valley venture capital firms, and our only focus is building cool application that will make everyone involved a bunch of money.
Were looking for a 3D Character Artist to help with the creation of a revolutionary virtual world for the PC. Working with the Art Director and character team comprised of traditional game artists and concept artist, the Character Artist will be responsible for the creation of our unique and fashion-forward humanoid characters.
Preferred Experience
2 year experience in the video gaming industry.
Involved in shipping a major game title as an environment artist.
Position Responsibilities:
Model, texture paint, and UVW map characters using 3DS Max and Photoshop for a low poly environment.
Rig and weight your characters, create other in-game 3D objects as needed.
Help create custom character rigging and proprietary tools development.
Keep current on online games, artistic trends, fashion trends, game engineering parameters, production software, and other relevant game development items.
Position Qualifications:
Ability to draw from life and original content.
Understanding of human anatomy.
Proficiency with 3DS Max and Photoshop.
Ability to skeletal rig and vertex weight models.
Proven artistic talent.
Passion for online gaming.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Great interpersonal and professional skills.
Bonuses:

Degree(s) in fashion and/or love buying clothes
