Ex'pression Colllege for Digital Arts is looking for Fine Arts Instructor for 3D students
Starting Date: immediately , duration - Permanent/flexible
Job details: Emeryville Digital Arts College is looking for a traditional Fine Arts Instructor. We\'re searching for a teacher who gets joy from helping students grow and improve in their work. The curriculum is focused on giving students the skills to be professional digital artists, so rather than teaching fine art as an end unto itself, we are looking for someone who can articulate how traditional fine art is the foundation upon which all computer graphics are built.
Because of legal and academic specifications, we cannot hire anyone without a Bachelor\'s degree AND a minimum of FOUR YEARS' experience in the professional film, video game, or animation industry.

Requirements: The minimum requirements for the position are:
Bachelor's Degree
four years' experience as an artist in the entertainment industry (film, video games, television, etc.)
top-level skills in, and ability to teach, figure drawing, painting, color theory, composition, figurative sculpture, storyboarding, and concept art
ability to teach the proper use of various media, including watercolor, art marker, acrylic paint, charcoal, ink, and various sculpting media
previous teaching experience, preferably at the adult level
ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
basic computer skills (Word, Photoshop, Excel, etc.)
Huge pluses are skills in any of the following:
advanced software skills (Maya, Illustrator, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
directing or performance experience
any 3D modeling, texturing, compositing, rigging, or animating experience
