ArenaNet is looking for Marketing Assistant
duration - Full Time
Job details: Marketing Assistant Are you a Level 20 marketing assistant looking to join a team that works hard and plays hard? The Marketing Assistant will support the execution of marketing, public relations, events, advertising and promotional activities which drive sales and awareness for ArenaNet and its games. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Assist with production, approval and distribution of advertising, marketing brochures, press kits, sales kits and other promotional materials, including some copy and press release writing as directed.
Help with the execution of press tours, trade shows/conventions and other events.
Work with product manager to facilitate packaging needs.
Coordinate and execute review mailings to press.
Build and maintain department database.
Organize and maintain department bookkeeping.
Compile weekly domestic and international marketing cross-function reports as well as weekly and bi-annual press clip reports.
Work closely with internal marketing, web, creative services and other teams as necessary.
General administrative department support, including travel coordination, meeting planning.
Qualifications:
A passion for gaming!
1-3 years of marketing, brand, packaging or production experience, preferably in the gaming industry.
Flexible, hard working team player with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
Proficient with database program such as ACT or Filemaker Pro.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work as a team and independently in a whatever it takes to get the job done multi-tasking, detail-oriented environment.
Ability and willingness to travel.
If you'd like to work with the team that created Guild Wars, and have a desire to rock the game industry by becoming an integral part our Marketing team, we want to hear from you! Special consideration will be given to candidates with extensive experience playing Guild Wars. Local candidates are preferred.
