Job details: To ensure that the employees have the technical support and resources they need for their job, maintain and update various inventories, client software, and documentation. Advise on equipment, systems and expansion.
Requirements: Key Responsibilities/deliverables for this position
1. Overall management of all hardware/software.
2. Full asset tracking of all employees issued equipment/software licenses.
3. Enforcement of all pre-established Network and System use policies.
4. Liaise with hardware and software vendors for support, updates, and upgrades.
5. Windows Server domain administration, including but not limited to:
a. User account administration.
b. Networked resource management (Printers, Files Shares, Etc.)
c. Software Installation, support.
d. Backups and disaster recovery.
Professional Skills
1. Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems.
2. Knowledge of MS Windows Server and Active Directory.
3. Basic network troubleshooting skills, including MS DNS and basic TCP/IP.
4. Familiarity with Linux, specifically Samba Server a plus.
5. Familiarity with Render Farms.
6. Familiarity with the following services, protocols, and software products a plus:
a. DHCP.
b. NTFS share permissions.
c. TCP/IP.
d. FTP (client and server administration).
e. SSH.
f. DNS.
g. VERITAS Backup Exec.
h. Autodesk Maya.
Personal Skills
1. Ability to interact with end users on a daily basis and help them with their technical needs.
2. Take ownership of their department and work together as a team.
3. Ability to work alone with limited management contact.
