Director of Operations
This is a fantastic opportunity for an operations manager who is ready to take on the challenge of acting as the intermediary between parent company and development studios and simultaneously maintain a fun and creative environment. You will need to work with operations staff at Take Two as well as manage staff in both Boston and Canberra. You will also need to develop and manage strategic initiatives between the two studios.
Specific Responsibilities:
Financial
-Generate and monitor annual budgets for 2 video game development studios
-Generate and monitor internal project budgets, in collaboration with Product Development team
-Review and submit monthly financial reporting
-Monitor monthly and day to day expenditures
-Monthly project accounting, in collaboration with Director of Product Development
HR
-Responsible for overall HR Management for 2 studios.
-Manage HR Managers in both studios, including overseeing the following: recruiting, annual reviews, benefits and corporate HR policies.
Communication
-Act as primary conduit for information from parent company in NY to employees in Boston and Australia
-Act as intermediary between studio heads and senior management at parent company
-Arrange inter-studio visits
-Take quarterly visits to Australian studio
General Ops
-Responsible for managing IT Managers for 2 studios
-Contract review for various internal and external contracts
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or commensurate work experience
Minimum 5-7 years experience in a an operational management position
Experience generating and managing multi-million dollar budgets
Experience managing HR for 40+ employees
Ability to form relationships with operations staff in parent organization and negotiate budgets with them. Experience with this would be a major plus.
A sense of humor
Experience managing multi-national operations a plus
Game or software development a plus
Willingness to travel for short periods of time on a frequent basis.
