Sucker Punch Productions is looking for Character Rigger or Technical Director
duration - Full Time
Job details: Character Rigger or Technical Director Would you like to create skeletons, rigs and tools with our animation team? Depending upon your level of experience this could be a strict Character Rigging role, or a more expansive Technical Director position. You'll need a deep level of familiarity with Maya, specifically skeletal rigging, the hypergraph, and mel scripting. Experience in a similar position, or production animation experience on a shipping game is a significant plus.
Requirements:
Deep knowledge and 2+ years experience with Maya, character rigging, the hypergraph, and driven keys.
Skilled in scripting and/or programming of at least Maya's internal Mel scripting language.
At least 2 years of hands-on CG animation and/or character experience. Significant plus if this work was done on a commercial video game.
A passion for developing simple yet powerful tools and processes. Genuine disdain for manual, inefficient tasks and processes.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Must be legally able to work in the United States.
Our offices perched high above Seattle afford a 360-degree view of the city, its lakes, and the surrounding mountains. Seattle may be the only city where you can scuba dive, watch the salmon run, go to the symphony, and visit the market all within city limits.
