Omens Studios is looking for Technical Director

Job details: We are looking for a motivated and experienced Technical Director who is proficient in the CG production pipeline with a strong understanding of the technical capabilities of Maya and third party plug-ins for muscle, hair, fur and cloth.
The Technical Director must be able to develop tools and documentation to refine pipelines for the animation production process, including the integration of keyframe, mocap and dynamic animation, and to create and maintain animator-friendly rigs. He / she must be able to proactively seek out and troubleshoot inefficiencies and problems in existing processes as well as potential problems, and help track efficiency of asset pipeline and processes throughout the life of the project, improving and enhancing them where necessary.
He / she must also have effective communication skills (oral and written), be able to contribute positively and effectively in a team environment, and be highly self-directed when required to work independently.
He / she must have a minimum of 5 years in a professional production environment, with at least 2 years as a rigger. He / she must have a solid understanding of Maya and MEL scripting, and demonstrate initiative and strong problem-solving skills in regard to all types of rigging and animation techniques.
