Kingston University is looking for Senior Lecturer
Starting Date: September 2006
Job details: Applications are invited from enthusiastic lecturers, or digital media practitioners, who have recently worked on, or lectured on, contemporary technologies used in media production or media delivery.
Applicants to this Senior Lecturer appointment will play an active role in the delivery of BSc Honours Degrees in Computer Graphics Technology, Media Technology, and Communications Systems and will continue to be professionally active within the media production or entertainment industry.
Candidates with experience in any areas of new media production will be considered and should have particular expertise of at least some of: multimedia production, broadcast production and postproduction, computer animation (2D or 3D), digital visual effects, digital audio.
The ability to teach video or audio equipment systems relevant to studio and broadcast technologies would be an advantage. Some of the courses include elements of electronics and instrumentation and so a degree, or equivalent qualification, in physics or electrical engineering will also be an advantage.

Interview Date 10th July.
Requirements: Knowledge of 3D software, particularly Maya and MEL, would be advantageous. Additionally Combustion, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash skills would be helpful.
