Pandemic Studios is looking for Lead Environment Artist
duration - Full Time
Job details: Lead Environment Artist Qualifications and Experience:
Highly Proficient in 3D Studio Max, Maya or XSI
Minimum five years experience in the games industry, including at least two published titles and one published title as a Lead Environment Artist
Undergraduate degree, or distinguished college coursework in relevant fields, or proven portfolio of industry experience
Proficient in Photoshop
Our Ideal Candidate:
Traditional Art Background
Extensive experience creating environmental art including architecture and environments
Next Generation Console Experience Xbox360, PS3
Personal/Hobby Game Projects
Development Experience in Third Person Action/Adventure Games and/or FPS
Passion for Developing Third Person Action/Adventure Games and/or FPS
Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship is available to qualified candidates.

Idea portfolio samples will include:
3D portfolio:
Modeling, texturing, and lighting applied to exterior architecture.
Modeling, texturing, and lighting applied to interior architecture and design.
Natural/organic environments.
Examples of the above in a low poly (next gen) format.
Modeling, texturing, applied to scene prop objects.
Unwrapped textures applied to buildings, characters, and organics.
Examples of next gen shader knowledge (objects with normal maps, specular maps, bump maps, parralax maps etc)
ideally, examples should have renders from 3d package/editor and also ingame screenshots
2D portfolio (no originals please):
Architectural rendering.
Color work (examples of color coordination, light and shade, etc).
Environmental design both interior and exterior.
Conceptual drawings applied to architecture, natural environments, props, etc.
sketching in general
Plusses:
Technical drawing (perspective)
Figure drawing
