Paradigm Entertainment is looking for Lead Artist
Starting Date: ASAP , duration - Regular
Job details: Highly creative AND skilled team members who are EXTREMELY PASSIONATE ABOUT MAKING GREAT VIDEO GAMES THAT ARE FUN TO PLAY -----that\'s Paradigm Entertainment!
We are currently working on projects for Xbox 360, PS2, PS3 and PSP!
As Lead Artist, you will utilize your experience in game development to lead a team of artist in creation of art content while maintaining the development schedule and facilitating effective communication between team members. You will make use of technical and creative resources to achieve consistency of art throughout the project. Work with Producer and Art Director to achieve schedules for team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects or art production on game project. Provides schedules and task description to Producer for all required art content. Accountable for timely and complete art deliveries during projects. Responsible for daily monitoring of art team. Expected to understand technology limitations in all areas of art creation. Required to solve problems related to art content path. Communication with all development team personnel as required.
Requirements: Education/Work Experience:
Bachelor of Architecture or BFA in Art related field (Computer Animation, Graphic Design, 3D Modeling)
6-10 years experience in the game industry having worked on shipped titles
Complete knowledge of all game development tools (Maya, 3D Max, PhotoShop, etc.)
Understanding of game devleopment life cycle and design process - from concept to delivery
Able to organize large projects, define task allocation for Art production team, assign tasks, track and report progress
Provide leadership to others, mentoring where necessary
Experience with consoles (PS2, XBox, Gamecube) - PC and handhelds a PLUS
Proactive problem solver - investigating all facets of the issue to seek resolution
Ability to provide accurate input for Art Production schedules to Producer
Provide Art production input for design documents
Provide Art production status as required by Producer
Provide evaluation of team member performance
Communicate effectively with team memberson daily basis, during reviews and meetings.
