Perpetual Entertainment is looking for Environment Modeler
Starting Date: ASAP , duration - Permanent
Job details: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Model and Texture complex terrain and objects for high end PC Title.
Polish assets to reach high quality levels.
Finalize visual quality of organic and architectural environments.
Requirements: QUALIFICATIONS
High level of creativity and ability to communicate ideas
Extensive game or movie/television industry experience, 2 years minimum, more preferred
Excellent modeling and texturing skills
Strong knowledge of game environment creation techniques
Extensive knowledge of game environment design and construction
Maya expertise preferred, Max users will be considered
Experience texturing large terrain areas, as well as creating environmental objects (foliage and structures)
Strong understanding of lighting and overall scene finalization
Professionalism and the ability to function well within a team
Self motivated
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to take criticism and direction
Environment 2D concept art skills
Level design experience and knowledge
Architectural skills and knowledge
SAMPLE WORK REQUIRED:
Samples of models and textures, (online, CD, or DVD format). Would prefer to see both 3D assets and in-game assets, preferably how the same asset translated from 3D program to game engine
Layers of materials / textures / shaders used and breakdowns of such also recommended
Samples of traditional skills, sketchbook, drawings, paintings, etc
All samples must be accompanied by a description of each, with specific information on what you were responsible for, what tools were used, etc.
