duration - Full Time

Job details: Lead Animator/Animation Director Lead Animator with phenomenal understanding of motion and style.

Skills Required:
Critical: Demonstrate exceptional artistic and technical skills and abilities in character animation, rigging, and cinematics.
Critical: Demonstrate mastery of at least 2 out of the 4 following programs: 3DS Max/Maya/Character Studio/ MotionBuilder.
Critical: Demonstrate mastery of a variety of animation styles and techniques using 3D, traditional cell animation, and/or physics driven solutions.
Important: Ability to manage, mentor, and train animators.
Important: Up-to-date knowledge of animation tools, techniques, and production pipeline issues.

Responsibilities:
Assist the Producer manage and schedule animation teams tasks and deadlines.
Create or assist in the creation of all animation assets, including rigging.
Work closely with the Lead Designer and Art Director to ensure accurate portrayal of characters personalities as they are conveyed through movement and facial expressions, as specified.
Ensure all animation assets meet or exceed game design requirements.
Ensure consistent level of quality and adherence to the direction and guidelines set by the Lead Combat Designer and Lead Acrobatics Designer.
Review all animation assets and take corrective measures if needed to insure strict technical/visual/animation standards.
Do whatever is necessary, as needed, to improve the quality of all animations created.
Meet all deadlines and milestones without fail.
Lead. Create. Motivate.

Qualification:
BS/BA or equivalent in Art or Animation.
5+ yrs of experience in the game industry, 2+ as a Lead with management responsibilities.
Shipped at least 1 title as a Lead Animator.
Possess high standard for excellence, have great work ethics, and work under tight time and budgetary constraints.
Pluses:
Ability to write custom tools for animators in Mel or Maxscript.
Experience creating fighting and/or martial arts animation for games or movies.
Have an even temperament and a sincere disposition.
Unrelenting creative drive and curiosity.
Bi-lingual (Asian Languages)
