Job details: Technical Artist Description:
Working on a state of the art engine, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining pipelines, managing assets, and automating tasks for the art team. Your main responsibility will be to work with the art and programming teams to create tools, scripts, and general automation processes to help a large scale MMO production be as efficient as possible. You will also support the production by creating final assets.. You will guide and train other artists on how best to create efficient, engine friendly art assets.
Requirements:
*Game industry experience as a technical artist
*Excellent Max Scripting abilities
*Self-starting, motivated artist with top notch skills to help production and pipeline *Automation with next generation engines, including shaders, performance and optimization.
*Excellent communication skills, and ability to work well with both programming and art team.
*Ability to create game art as needed, to the specifications of the art director. This could include character, architecture, environment, and effects.
Preferences:
*At least two shipped titles as a technical artist
*Experience with managing outsourced artwork
*Experience with asset management setup and maintenance
