CNBC-NBCUniversal is looking for Graphics Deko Operator
Starting Date: Immediately , duration - Permanent
Job details: The Graphics Deko Operator creates a large volume graphics for on-air using the Pinnacle FX Deko and Pinnacle Thunder storage device.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Creating and delivering full screens using a digital ordering system
Manually creating full screens and delivering to specific play-out device
Manually building and storing stacks
Handling live calls from News Associates with data that will get keyed in and sent to Thunder
Working closely with employees in the newsroom, and maintaining internal relationships with the graphic artists and animators.
Importing animations created by animators from the server into Thunder
Assigning to numbers and creating loops as needed.
Creating lower third ticker sponsorships and promotional snipes on a Chyron Infinite.
Other duties and projects as required
Requirements: Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in related field
2+ years experience preferred using a Pinnacle FX Deko character generator and the Pinnacle Thunder storage device
2+ years experience preferred professional experience working in graphics, technology, and/or news department.
Strong PC skills
Proven ability to perform effectively in a high-volume, multi-task/deadline oriented environment
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and professional demeanor
Strong commitment to delivering a quality product
Proven organizational skills & ability to handle multiple, competing requests simultaneously
Solid team player
Demonstrates initiative; self-starter
Must be available for a variety of shifts including early mornings, nights and weekends.
Desired:
Knowledge or experience with CNBC or NBC Universal
Experience with animations and loop points
Experience in utilizing the motion capability of the FX Deko
Working knowledge of the Chyron Infinite character generator, including creation and application of function keys and transforms
