duration - Full Time
Job details: Sound Designer Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, implements and debugs audio for next-gen game development.
Create, edit, mix, and remaster original audio content in conjunction with the design and programming teams.
Assists in determination of audio tasks and develops scheduling to complete those tasks
Works with the programming team to create specifications for the audio engine, define the audio asset pipeline, and the integration of audio assets.
Works with the design and programming teams to ensure proper and timely implementation of all audio assets.
Responsible for determining music composition needs.
Recruit and evaluate contract audio services, including any music composition and voice-over work to be completed for the next-gen game.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years game audio experience on AAA titles.
Knowledge of Windows and Mac based software, including pro audio software and the ability to learn proprietary game development applications.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with pro audio hardware and computer-based audio systems required.
Excellent organization and communication skills. Proven ability to manage a large volume of audio data accurately and efficiently.
Must have a broad knowledge of console games and a passion for making game audio. Must be able to articulate ideas and feedback clearly and analytically from an audio perspective.
College degree in related field preferred. Musical and/or recording studio proficiency a plus.
