Secret Level is looking for Level Artist
duration - Full Time
Job details: Level Artist Secret Level seeks a Level Artist is responsible for the creation of 3D artwork for terrain, static props and gameplay objects. The artist will work to polygon and texture budgets set by their lead and are also able to create object normal maps and apply some shader work.
Responsibilities
Model, texture, and polish architecture and world objects, based on conceptual artwork and reference photography.
Work with Level Designers to flesh out and understand gameplay environment and the needs of the Design team
Work the Lead Environment Artist and the Art Lead to create highly polished environments and in-game environment experience.
Essential Skills and Experience
2+ years of experience on previous video game projects as a Level Artist
Ability to model, texture, and unwrap models in Maya
Ability to paint textures and UV map models
Ability to create normal maps using multiple techniques, including; Zbrush or painted bump maps using Photoshop (or equivalent)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred University degree in Art
Preferred Skills and Experience
Demonstrated ability in the following programs: Maya, Photoshop, ZBrush
A background in traditional drawing and painting skills
A Solid understanding of composition and form
A Solid understanding of color theory
