Job details: Marketing Director Main Purpose of the Role:
To lead the worldwide strategic marketing for all titles created in this well respected Studio, including a key title, one of the company's most valuable intellectual properties.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
-Work closely with the games development teams to ensure that every game reflects the needs of the target market, on every format.
-Define the marketing strategies and launch plans for each product to maximize global success and beat revenue targets, ensuring buy-in from key business stakeholders around the world.
-Deliver world-class marketing communications materials including advertising, packaging, and online assets in partnership with the Creative Services teams.
-Partner with the Studios PR Manager to ensure that PR plans have impact and are achievable.
-Ensure that the territory sales, marketing and PR teams are equipped with the information and assets they need to drive constant growth.
-Provide constant communication to Studio and Marketing teams on marketing plans, sales figures and local market conditions.
-Spend time in Europe, Asia and North America, advising and assisting marketing teams in the implementation of the Marketing Plans.
-Work with the studio leadership to identify new business opportunities, whether that be in new markets, on new devices, or with new models.
-Provide management, vision and leadership for the Studio marketing team.
-Assist VP Product Marketing in overall planning and take on responsibility for additional department projects where necessary.
-Represent Europes Publishing Division at the highest levels of the company.
-Frequent travel required.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
-7-10 years product marketing experience in either:
1. Video games industry (preferred)
2. Entertainment industry excluding video games (i.e. music, film or TV)
3. Consumer products (FMCG, Mobile, Technology, etc.) industry. Candidate from these industries must show strength in the development of new products and their launch strategies
-3+ years direct people management experience of small teams (3-5 people) coupled with strong matrix management skills
-Understanding and experience of playing major PC and video game titles Candidate must be a gamer ideally a passionate gamer
-Understanding of the games market from a business perspective (ideally)
-Understanding of online business models (ideally)
-Capable of dealing with senior stakeholders
-Organized and strong planner
-Strong strategic and creative thinker
Experience Required:
-Experience in a decentralized marketing function comfortable with the differences between strategy and execution
-Experience in an international role with the ability to collaborate with and influence multiple stakeholders, specifically North America and Europe
-Communicates in a clear, balanced manner
-Demonstrated ability to work with creative leaders
-Good man-management skills
-An excellent motivator and leader someone who can incite both individuals and teams to perform and deliver at a higher level
-Focused enough to be able to create and follow through on a clear strategy, yet open minded enough to adapt as data changes.
-Experience of working with major IPs and major revenue targets a plus
