Overall, the position of QA Manager is expected to partner with the organization to:
Responsibilities:
Manage daily activities of Supervisors and their test teams performing similar tasks in a group. Is accountable in terms of equipment, team /title budgets, meeting client expectations / satisfaction, employees, and ensure that teams develop and apply new test strategies and test methodology against First Party Titles.
Develop, maintain and manage Software Quality Engineering Team: Create and execute appropriate test strategies and plans for SWQA/E, collaborative development and execution of automated test strategies and processes for advanced testing. Continue to build an effective test organization by driving the recruiting and hiring of SWQA Engineers: coaching, developing and managing the group.
Drive process improvement. Work with QA engineers and QA Test Supervisors to identify areas of improvement and efficiency. Increase test efficiency through automation, appropriate test technology, tools and innovation. Collaborate and work in conjunction with Global QA teams.
Develop quality control standards and test processes regarding the testing and release of First Party titles. Manage and define teams title-planning, budgets, and provide regular release quality reports to Senior Management.
Responsible for establishing short and long term goals and objectives for subordinate staff and for QA Teams.
Analytical reasoning and audit controls to maintain Quality Control and Process Integrity through planning, process flow and documentation.
Knowledge in regards to supplying administrative management support of large FPQA Test Teams.
Planning techniques on developing new advanced testing methodology's to be sure that new methods are implemented by SWQA team (black and white box testing)
Qualifications:
Good communication skills needed to gather reports and exchange information for titles entering and exiting FPQA.
Strong understanding of business writing.
Able to communicate new ideas and develop upon them.
Ability to develop and manage white-box - Software Quality Engineer team and black-box - Functionality Test teams through Supervisors.
Technical Skills:
SQE (current managers will become SQE Certified).
Understanding of Network testing and principles of internet gaming infrastructure.
Use of automated test and QA management reporting tools.
Knowledge of MS Applications, Open-source applications.
Previous experience with offline, online and internet software games and software applications.
