Job details: Game Producer Shockwave.com Games Studio We are currently seeking a talented, experienced Game Producer to work in Atom Entertainments Shockwave.com Games Studio.
This position will be based in Atom Entertainments downtown San Francisco offices, near the Montgomery BART station.
Responsibilities:
Launch a continuous flow of exciting, fun and unique games concentrating on titles which improve community aspects of our site, time spent on site and advertising inventory.
Manage game projects through the development lifecycle, from acquisition to launch.
Coordinate testing for quality assurance.
Scout new games that meet business and marketing goals by various methods, including detailed scrubbing of our game submission email list and prompt, courteous, informational replies to developers.
Work with our Site Team and publishing systems to stage games for launch.
Improve Studio documentation to make the production process more efficient.
Communicate project status both upwards and across the organization.
Maintain relations with a number of outside developers.
Manage post-launch process of optimizing game features for technical performance and sales conversion, including an analysis of the entire Shockwave.com game lineup to find areas for improvement with specific titles or categories.
Brainstorm game concepts internally and with outside developers to meet sponsorship needs.
Understand market constraints and opportunities and offer insight into how Shockwave.com may improve its competitive position.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have proven abilities in many of the following areas:
Managing the delivery of a project that crosses organizational boundaries (e.g. Marketing, Sales & Engineering)
Cultivating and developing online communities
Game concept development: Generating concepts and turning them into detailed concept documents and functional specifications.
Level design
Usability analysis
Verbal and written communication skills
Competence with a variety of software packages, such as the standard office applications, HTML, Visio, etc.,
Understanding the web gaming technical environment and able to discuss and digest technical issues, including familiarity with Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Director/Shockwave, and Java.
Proven game development/delivery experience, either as a producer or developer, and including 1+ years experience in each of project management, functional design, AND product development on game projects or other end-user software applications.
Held lead role in shipping a significant web product or a packaged consumer software product.
Experience managing direct relations with a developer or end-user community.
BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Superior attention to detail.
Self starter. Ability to work effectively in both individual and team settings.
Strongly driven by the opportunity to deliver quality entertainment software into the hands of millions of eager consumers.
