Job details: Services Director - MMOG This position is for a services producer for a massively multi-player online game that Cartoon Network is developing. This game will be a project with a seven year life-cycle, a two year development period and a five year operational period. The budget will be more than $70 million, and projected profits will exceed $13 million. The services producer will be responsible for all aspects of customer service, quality assurance, and billing. This is a multi-faceted, extremely critical position that will require a seasoned veteran to manage a team of 20 plus employees, multiple vendor relationships, and internal service groups responsible for the most critical of functions for the game: the billing system. This is one area where we must get a seasoned professional who has experience both operating and building a CS and billing department from the ground up.
Responsibilities include:
* Manage quality assurance efforts and relationships. The Services Director will be responsible for hiring and managing the QA manager and QA leads. S/he will also be responsible for selecting the external QA vendor as well as managing that long-term relationship. S/he will establish and direct all QA efforts and establish QA procedures and policies.
* Manage customer service efforts and relationships. The Services Director will be responsible for hiring and managing the CS In-Game Lead, the CS Billing Lead, and the CS Technical Lead. S/he will also be responsible for selecting the external billing and technical customer service vendor(s) as well as managing that/those long-term relationship. S/he will also create an internal team of support staff to assist players inside of the game. This support staff will scale with the number of customers the game obtains.
* Manage billing relationships. Absolutely critical to the success of the business is the billing systems and the various partners and vendors that will be involved in the billing systems. The Services Director will manage these relationships and ensure that this critical function is operating smoothly in every way.
* Build and manage all systems for customer service, billing, and QA. As of now, Turner has very little experience in these areas. The Services Director will be building off of the experience of GameTap, Pipeline, and NASCAR, but will have to develop new systems and enhance existing systems to satisfy the unique requirements of the Cartoon Network MMOG.
Requirements:
* 10+ Years Customer Service
* 5+ Years Experience Billing Support
* Experience building Customer Service departments
* Experience with MMO CS/Billing
* Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts or Technology
